Limited Warranty & End-User Agreement Information
All scripts and products from ASDG come with a limited warranty and end-user agreement, which can be found in your copy of the script(s) you license. Each script is different, so each script has a different warranty and end-user agreement. However, the basic terms of every limited warranty are as follows:
- All scripts produced by ASDG are guaranteed to be free from any design or logic defects and to be in a working condition upon your receipt of the script.
- If your receive a script that is not working despite having followed the installation instructions included with the script package, then ASDG will either assist you by installing your script for you (if the error is being caused by some odd quirk with your hosting company) or replacing the script with an updated, or fixed version (if the script was damaged or corrupted, or a bug was found) free of charge.
- If a script requires manual editing of the code in the script in order to get it to work as desired (all newer script from ASDG do not require such edits), you have the option of having ASDG perform the edits at our standard hourly rate. Should you choose to edit the script yourself, then you are waving your limited warranty and rendering it null and void. If you have attempted to edit your script yourself (and voided your warranty), and cannot get it to work, ASDG will assist you under our standard hourly rate. In short, any edits you make to the code of a script, for whatever reason, void your warranty.
- This warranty does not grant you the right to demand that ASDG run and/or operate your script(s) for you. If a complaint is filed under this warranty and it is determined that the script(s) is/are functioning properly, and that the problem is a lack of computer skills/ lack of reading the instructions, then our standard hourly rate will then be applied to all time that was spent investigating the warranty complaint. All rights not specifically granted to you under this limited warranty are hereby explicitly revoked and rendered null and void, except where state or federal law may prohibit it.
The basic terms of the end-user agreement are:
- You are licensing, not purchasing scripts from ASDG. Which means (in short) that you do not own the script, nor the contents of the intellectual property they represent. Which means you cannot re-sell them.
- You cannot make the code of the licensed script public (you may share and discuss code from our script with other script license owners), should you do so you will be liable for damages, as that is an unlawful distribution of our intellectual property.
